My digital TV is connected by a SCART lead to my DVD recorder. When I autotune my recorder it picks up only the 5 basic channels and none of the 'digital' ones. How do I set it up so I can record from the extra channels..?

On mine I have the output scart from the tv connected to the input scart on the dvd recorder, so whats on the tv goes to the recorder, but you then have to select on the recorder which signal source you want to record from, aerial, scart , rgb, etc, in this case you would choose scart, hope that helps.
When you autotune your DVD recorder you are actually tuning the TV tuner in your DVD recorder which is probably only analougue.

You need to change the input signal on the DVD recorder to something like AV1 or AV2 to pick up the signal from the TV.
