Hi, can anyone help I keep getting these stupid emails telling me i,ve won lots of money, in fact I,m probably a billionaire by now , but seriously how can I put a stop to these stupid things.

spam's a problem everywhere. Some providers may be better at blocking it than others - for instance I get virtually none on my hotmail account these days, if you wanted to use an internet-based email service. Otherwise, just do what you do with snail mail, throw it away unopened. Sorry, that's not much comfort, is it! Maybe somebody more techy will have some whizzo solution, in which case I look forward to reading it myself.

Thanks jno I might just change to hotmail because i,m getting about 8 of these sent to me every day!

Hotmail is terrible. Try using Gmail instead,

I get more spam coming through on my Gmail account than my Hotmail one - but they do catch it and put it in a separate Spam folder, along with recipes for spam fritters etc (that Google advertising!). But yes, one big drawback with Hotmail is if you don't access it every 30 days it vanishes; Gmail lasts forever, in theory..
