can any one tell me how to get a stupid plastic cork thingy out of my bottle of wine...........no cork skrew obviously..........trying with a knife......not happening.
might have a temper tantrum in a mo!!

try using a screwdriver

Push hard with the end of a spoon... then keep the spoon handle in to keep the cork away from the neck of the bottle!!!

NB Watch for spills!!!

wrap the bottom of bottle in towel, hit it agst the tire of ur car
it'll pop out; done it tons of times : )

funnily enough i did most of those things..........tantrum over i am now sitting pooring out my wine with a knife in the bottle to stop stupid plastic thingy getting in the way of my pouring!!.......ok back to more important things.........thankyou people.....most graciously xxx

screw a SCREW into the cork half way and pull with pliers?

If all else fails, push the cork through and down into the bottle. It's not ideal, but you should be able to pour a little more cleanly and a little more safely.

The first thing in the morning, go out and buy yourself a corkscrew.

hi someguy,
try this, get a handkechief twist the end round
then push down the neck of the bottle, then
keeping the hanky in place tip the bottle upside down, until the cork slides aside the
hanky then pull slowly on the hanky, with luck it will pull tight then pull until the
pressure forces the cork out of the bottle.
