Do Police officers HAVE to have the radar gun calibrated every day? How do they PROVE its been done? Do the officers manning the gun HAVE to be in view of drivers?

I think it's weekly (not sure though) and they do need to provide evidence of it being done. How visible they need to be depends on which force they are and if they are operating under the road safety partnership or whatever it's called. Basically the machines are all line of sight so they can't see you without you seeing them
