I was wondering, if you bid for something, say you bid 10 for a cd and put on a maximum bid of something ridiculous like 1000, then if people bid a little higher than 10 and it says you have been outbid please bid again etc.. would you end up winning it for 10 as no one would be 1000 for a cd?? Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Yeah never set your maximum bid too high. My mate wanted an ld badly off it, so put a maximum bid in of 80.He was telling everyone round the pub. Up until the last day the bidding was around 20, when someone from the pub decided to call his bluff and put in a maximum bid of 75. In the end he had to pay 76 or whatever.
Sorry, he was bidding for an old 'LP'.
