There are several pipes, beso.
Coming out of the bottom of the pumpy thing, there's a thick, spongy, sort of pipe. Coming out of this, there are 3 smaller pipes ...
There's 1 clear one (which I presumably connect to my cooler machine).
And there are 2 black ones, about half a centimetre in diameter. Not sure about those.
Then, separately, there's this 2 core electric wire ... the one with the "24v SELV" tag.
I hope it lights up. That would be jolly.

Jayne..
The two wires are for (as you figured) lighting it up, the single clear pipe will be (as you also figured) for connecting to your cooler for the beer.
The other two pipes will be for running cold pumped water from the cooler (in a pub) up into the tap and then a return back to the cooler, this firstly keeps the beer cool right up to the end point of the tap and can also (in the case of some like the fosters one above) create condensation on the outside of the casing for aesthetic purposes . You can leave these two pies disconnected with no real problems (other than the first 1/4 pint you draw will have warmed up in the tap if it's been left a while)

The one I linked to is a DC transformer.
though if they are just plan filament lights in the tap (they used to be when I've worked in pubs) it's doesn't really matter if it's AC or DC.
it wouldn't have come with one because pubs an bars tend to use one fairly large transformer to run all the lights in all the pump heads.
