Agreed, but the Data Protection Act also gives everyone the right to see what information is held about them, simply by making a request. The organisation holding that information must release it to the person to whom it relates but they cam make an administration fee (of no more than £10) for doing so. That's why it will cost Maisie a tenner for the information if she can't get it any other way.
