In the high winds last week, we had a few tiles blow off our roof. The insurance company has sent us a claim form but one section asks about any previous claims on the building insurance. I remember claiming several years ago for some similar damage but we were with a different company then. I don't remember which company it was. Also I don't have any records of when it was or how much was claimed, which is information the current insurance company want. Am unsure what to do. Any advice appreciated.

I'd do a guesstimate.....would the repair people have records ? Your insurance would be void if it came to light and hadn't been declared !
YOu have to tell them, but they will accept that you can't remember, if you don't keep records. Put (e.g.) "over 5 years ago, when insured elsewhere" - bear in mind they may already have this information, as you will have been asked to declare previous claims in a timescale when you took out this current insurance. Would you not have kept the correspondence and invoice for the original repairs?
Maybe a Good idea to find out how much (if any) your excess is before you make a claim, if its only a couple of tiles that need replacing.
