About 15 years ago I used a Photo Editing program which also came packaged with loads of clips for making your own leaflets, advertising etc. The photo editing side was excellent enabling you to change/ improve background, make blurred oval pictures in a frame without altering photo and many other options I have long since forgotten. I think it might have been a Corel product but I am not sure. Does this ring any bells with anyone. My old computer went belly up about the same time and the file could not be recovered from the hard disk. I would so like to know what it was called, but the brain is not what it used to be.

Paintshop Pro - it became a Corel program a few years ago.
PaintShop Pro is good but not particularly cheap:

For designing leaflets, etc, Serif PagePlus Starter Edition is superb (and free!):

Serif used to offer a free version of their (equally good) image editing software on their website. It's now been discontinued but seems to be still available here:

For a full 'professional' photo editing program (that's as good as the 'full' versions of Adobe Photoshop but doesn't cost a penny), try GIMP:

(It's got a very steep learning curve but, if you want the very best from your images, it's worth the effort).
Corel Photo Paint maybe? I used to use that religiously.

I currently use Photoshop CS6 and love it, it's the last Photoshop package that doesn't use the "cloud".
Before you pay money for anything, give Photoscape a try. I'm very satisfied with it and it's downloadable for free
