//The way to calculate it can differ if someone works fewer than five days per week. In this case, qualifying days are the working days which the employment contract stipulates.//
Youngmafbog - thank you! So going forward, on the fourth day I assume I should still notify my employer if I’m ill in order to receive SSP from there on even though I would never be at work on that 4th qualifying day?
you wont get sick pay for days that you wouldnt normally work.
lets say you work m-t-w. you wouldt get paid ssp for m-t-w. you wouldnt get ssp for t-f-s-s either.
if you were still sick on the next monday, that would be your first qualifying day
Bednobs - ah ok Thank you! Interesting. I work Monday - Wednesday on one week and the following week Wednesday- Fri then Mon
-Wed again following this pattern
