I been on a job site and seen a role same as mine advertised and I'm seeing the boss this week for a meeting as my trial is nearly over I'm worried it might be to replace me. I only had time to do basic cleaning with my supervisor as we had to do 2 floors due to holiday and sickness this week so we're short so now I'm worrying what if I hadn't cleaned the rooms well

You are panicking too much
You and your supervisor did your best when understaffed.
Don't be making a worry for yourself when there's no need.
Well if they didn't like it, it'll free you up for this new job.
Don't worry .. Be happy.

Surely the supervisor will have explained the situation, about only basic cleaning being done? I think jobs such as yours are being advertised all the time, there's a great demand, a great need for cleaners.
Yes, you are panicking too much.
If the worst happens at least your weekends will be free.

I don't work weekends
Maybe they are advertising for more staff due to the shortages you mention.
The job you've seen might be for somewhere else altogether, it might be to increase the staffing levels in the place you're in, it might be with a view to replacing you if they feel you don't meet their needs. It's all guesswork just now, so why not just wait for the meeting?
Chill...and take a deep breath Abbey. If it is your place advertising, it's probably because they are short staffed. Cleaning jobs are often seasonal and taken by students...who are back to classes in a few weeks.

It's same company and same role as mine there's no students on my team
Are your shifts not rotated Monday to Saturday with every fourth Sunday on?
Question Author
Not so far they haven't
Yes, do not panic. If you think your work was good the supervisor saw it and would have given a good report about you and you may get a permanent job. If you dont, put it down to experience and go for another job.
Do you think you cleaned the rooms well, Abbey?
Hello abbey, I hope you are well. Please try to be not quite so anxious. As has been said, there were fewer staff on duty and that usually results in a fire-fighting mode to get the basics done. Nobody should be expected to zoom around like Superman to cover all the work in the same time. Just make sure when you meet your boss you explain that a staff shortage meant you and the supervisor were only able to achieve a level of cleaning to meet basic requirements. Good luck.
You can only do the very best work you can and hope the boss will keep you on. .. What will be will be

I got upset today as I was told supervisor got in trouble for a mistake I made
Were you told what the mistake was?
Your supervisor should have been watching you with a keen eye and pointed out what you were doing wrong.
You're learning and we all make mistakes even when in a job for years.
