its never a good idea to give an employer an ulitmatum - especially when there are plenty of people willing to work hard and fill your post

You have to consider what would happen if they did extend your hours, you would have less hours availability for HB and they could lay you off ! Think seriously now

Abbey you cannot threaten to quit a job if they won't give you more hours. If I remember correctly the problem at the care home arose because you did not perform well when the inspectors where there. How will you manage if there is an emergency at the care home? You ask here "what is suitable for you to wear" do you ask your employers if you are doing your job properly or what you should do next all the time. You have to show all employers that you can work independently. Please take on board the advice you have been given on this thread.

........And Floko.  I really didn't want to upset Abbey by mentioning it, but It rang so many bells and would explain a lot.  I've known children and adults with it.  Abbey finds communicating difficult.  She needs to build her confidence and closing this thread isn't necessary.  It's easy to ignore it if you want.  I can think of far worse threads going on at the moment that should go.
