I believe Abbey mentioned having dyspraxia last year...which would go a long way to explain some of her difficulties

@theCorbyloon

Abbey said "My availability is Monday Wednesday and Friday afternoon till 7 then Tuesday Thursday and Saturday morning till 7 and Sunday off. "

She has already booked this Saturday off

No, ii is too loud, and does not match the plain clothes traditionally worn.

William51, the thread's moved on a lot. Abbey has been to the induction day, started the job... and doesn't seem to be enjoying it much!

Cheers FLOKO.

Why can you not always work on Saturdays now?

@ theCorbyloon

It seems as she has booked Saturday off this week, they have booked her for a shift on Sunday instead which she says she cannot do !

Not showing much enthusiasm in my view

Care home is on my doorstep

Abbey, we are trying to understand.

Why can't you work the hours your employers ask you to?

I got the impression it would be more than just the one Saturday.

More to the point, why can you not work the hours you telt them you could?

Quite honestly the situation with her relationship with HM management is not looking good, unless Abbey compromises more.

I think Abbey does volunteer work on the weekends. I also have the impression sometimes that she enjoys that more.

Some people think the world revolves around them. It's that simple.

Of course she does Pasta.  But in order to hold down a job one Sunday working might be advisable.

Oh I agree Floko. Priorities!!!

I did ask about the voluntary work on another thread but cannot mind on a response.

I have no idea what the voluntary work is but if it were me in the same situation, I'd be looking to reduce or stop the voluntary work.

^^ Abbey said she walks dogs at a Kennel establishment - ?? weekends.

Abbey, I would hazard a guess that almost everyone one of us has made a small mistake on our first day at a new job - I would have thought that a supervisor would have been standing beside you on your first day at a till?

I do but voluntary is always more enjoyable than working but gotta enjoy work aswell. For abit but then left me on my own. I don't know how fair manager is he always in the office. No I told them when I started also 2 jobs seems tiring

Incredible.

most people find full time work tiring, and yours isnt even full time.

most people would prefer to do voluntary work doing what they like, but also have to do stuff they don't like to GET PAID.

also, most people would prefer to work somewhere very close, but get the bus/buy a bike/get a lift

Voluntary work is twice a week for 3l hours
