because it makes a mess of their clothes and aint that easy to get rid of !
Hair can actually grow back into the skin. If a cut hair falls in between clothing and skin, it can pierce the skin and start an infection, which can require surgery to remove it - this is why hairdressers cover the back of the neck of clients befor cutting.

I was speaking with a woman about this a while ago, apparently her collegue had some hair growing in the top of the foot, as she'd gone against policy and worn open sandals.

Nothing racist in the following, but, apparently, chinese (or similar) hair is the worst as it is so straight and thick - like needles when it's short.

a known health risk to hair dressers is and ingrown hair in the lower back or something ...it has to be cut out eg: the skin and around it has to be removed also... and it can recur....
