I have an interview on Friday, it's where I currently work but a grade higher in the different department. I'm not sure what to wear. I only have one suit which is brand new, long story but I bought it thinking I would be going to a funeral but turned out the person wasn't as sick as we thought. Anyway, the suit is black...but actual black...not almost black, not off black, it's black as the ace of spades. It's a really nice suit, was pricey, but I'm scared that it'll look a bit funerally for an interview. Is a black suit a bad idea for an interview? I've heard that charcoal grey is the best...but I only have black. Anyway...just wanna know if black suit is ok. Sorry for the long question.
Lol at delboy3, I've just nearly choked on my G&T!!
Black is fine Jamie, a nice coloured SHIRT will make it look a bit less 'funerally' but I would leave the scarf at home. I think lilac would be fine teamed with a nice tie.
Ice-you numpty-lol.......I agree-a coloured shirt would look good. Not too loud if you are in a conservative company...but turquoise or lilac are both ideal.
Hello mrjamie ....notice the mr Ice honey ......try to keep the tie quite plain and not bright stripes , a plain darker contrast to match your shirt would be nice. Good luck with your interview ;-) x
