Hi, I know I'm asking the impossible but everyone has always been so good with advice on here that I thought you might be able to give me some ideas. I have recently lost my job and need to find an income but ideally I want to start my own business. I'm brilliant at organising others and quite creative (I bring in a small income through my art work). I enjoy planning and design work but I just don't know what kind of career could utilise all of these traits. I'm usually full of ideas but due to job loss etc I'm feeling a little demoralised which doesn't help the creative juices! If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Many Thanks.

wedding organiser, or just parties and other special occasions, Im sure lots of peps find doing this very daunting but sounds like it couid be fun for you bye
What about some sort of consultancy business? Something like events/wedding planning. I have a couple of good friends who have similar interests to you - one bought her own business (a florist), the other set herself up as a consultant/buyer for an associate's new fashion store. Both are totally in their element, however the earning side of things has taken longer to get established. Personally, I'd always rather be doing what I love that doesn't pay so well than be raking it in but doing something that makes me miserable.
Classroom assistant in a primary school - doing all the displays etc.

Thanks for your great ideas. markgem & skellycog, I was actually considering events co-ordinator a couple of years ago just never did anything about it.
A great idea Lil O' Lady but I'm afraid I'm not very child orientated, would like to have my own someday just have very little interest in other peoples, gosh that sounds bad doesn't it?!
Try the Prince of Wales Trust....they give money to entrepreneurs for new businesses; you may get some ideas there.

Art work sounds good for an income? Oils of pets (by photo) goes down well & sold on internet? Wedding photography? Interior decor?
If you like art and organising why dont you get a business plan set up from the princes trust they help you write one and help with the funding. maybee you could rent some space and display art work from local students and artests who would like to start selling there work.
