Writing letter to court

I want to get my court record sealed. 5 yrs ago the judge ruled, guilty of assault. My attorney did not speak up as I only touched this person (my neighbor) Now I can not gain employment. I was asked to leave a position when my background check came up for review.

What bothers me.. there are politiicians in my community that have served PRISON sentences and now are working for the public. There are many others in town with "a name" that have returned to work - no problem. I would like to site these examples (I saved the newspper articles) so I may return to my professionl.

I know this is a UK site (I've used it in the past many times unless your rules have changed). I am not looking for 'procedures', merely verbage and flow of a letter.
