Career Change

Recently been made redundant from office job in bank in London after 17 years! Now fancy a complete change and would like to get into Plumbing, Electrical or Plastering. All the college courses seem to start in September. Would like some advice on courses available that I could start now?? and that offer the qualifications required to get a start in the trade i beleive this to be the NVQ....??Any help and advice to give me a starting point would be greatly appreciated.

I found my local 'Connexions' career centre to be a good source of advice and information when i was in a similar position.
