am i entitled to shift allowance?

I work for a 24 hour company and work shifts, should i be geting paid shift allowance?

I too used to work in hotels and we never even got a weekend increase.

Even 24hr businesses only pay a little more for shift/night work as they know someone will do it.

I get a 33% up lift for doing nights.

I work for a charity and we get no xtras for working nights, or weekends and even have to choose what we want to work, christmas or new year cant have both off,and sometimes you dont even get the choice, depending on staff requests, so you would have to work a day shift and get the evening off, or do a backshift and get the morning off!!!!
