About a week ago I got very very drunk and decided to go sort out an old dispute with a neighbour ( with good intentions ). Next thing I remember is being cuffed and in the back of a police van ( I must of blacked out ). I never knew what had happened untill I was read the "victims" statement, which said I knocked on his door untill he answered, when he did I put my hand on his chest and pushed him into his flat where i pinned him down and head butted him twice with my hand around his neck. I am worried about my previous, as 2 years ago I was cautioned by the CPS after charges were dropped for a similar offence. Before that it was about 6 - 7 years ago since my last offence. I am worried about a prison sentence because I have just established contact with my twin daughters and set up a new life. Any custodial sentence will put me back to square 1, honest answers are appreciated. Many thanks.

Maybe the zoo would be a better place... you're an animal.
Were your clothes all ripped when you woke from this black out?
and did you turn green at all during this incident?
I would say - Yes.

EDIT: The charge was section 39 common assault.
Sorry but I think a custodial sentence is highly likely in your situation.

I appreciate the honest answers ( the ones that don't look like someone with the mental capacity of a 5 year old wrote ) many thanks
Funny isn't it how thugs always use the old 'i was blind drunk and can't remember a thing' excuse
''the ones that don't look like someone with the mental capacity of a 5 year old''

What he ^ said
OK Honest answer.

Why didn't you have the balls to go round to your neighbours when sober?

It's no excuse but the truth, i layed my cards down on the table here mistakingly thinking that this forum was for mature members. I say 'victim' because the dispute I was talking about was the fact that this guy was getting children as young as 14 hooked on methadrone to feed his own habits, please ask for facts before casting stones. I fully admit that I was in the wrong but my overwhelming hatred got the better of me in this situation, which I don't see as an excuse but purely a fact. As I stated I have no long string of offences, and I am normally a very kind and gentle person.

I never wanted to get myself in to trouble ,it was only when drink fuelled I went round. I realise now that drink isn't the recreational drug for me and FULLY realise my mistakes
Was he treading on your patch?

Also please be aware that this is a section 39, which is the lowest form of assault. The victim was left with no injuries.

Mike Talbot I seriously think that was a little under the belt seem as though you have no idea of who I am and what I do to help people.
