Hi does anyone know What is the maximum sentence for conspiracy to rob???? Thanks

Well, I was always under the impression that conspiracy was used as part of the charge so that a longer sentence was available. But all I can find on the web says "the person convicted shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding the maximum term provided for the offence to which the conspiracy relates."

It's seven years.
max sentence has nothing to do with what is given by the judge

and there is something called a tariff
but I dont know what it is for this.
Max sentence for conspiracy to commit robbery is life.

If that's correct then the maximum sentence for conspiracy to rob , is exactly the same as that for robbery.
Apologies, life is the maximum, I was getting theft and robbery confused.
