traffic incident
after a long history of harrassment intimidation and threats of violence, the mother of my grandchildren drove her car at me as i was putting my 3 year old granddaughter in my car.....she slightly hit me..and damaged my car door....she was arrested and charged with criminal damage and assault and bailed....she has now claimed that i opened my car door and pushed it on to her car as she drove past.....the police have reduced the charge to driving without due care and attention.....her story is total lies..what can I do?

It is not unknown for people to change their story in "accidents" like this.
There was a question here on Answerbank a few weeks ago where a person said they were stationary and another car drove into the back of them.
When the police spoke to the other drive they said the car in front reversed into them.
Who knows who was telling the truth.
It can be annoying if you know you are right, but sometimes life is a bit unfair.

Is there any evidence that she hit you? Were you injured in any way? Did you see a doctor about it? If not, did you show any injuries to an independent person or to the police who, I assume, attended the scene of the accident?
If none of these things happened & there are no independent witnesses of what occurred then I agree with the other posts.

No CCTV around or witnesses? Where did the car hit you and were you injured and examined for medical notes to be available? You'd think where you were hit could provide a clue if say you were leaning in to put a child in a car as opposed to standing back opening a car door in someone's way. Maybe the location of impact and damage on the car as well? Worth looking into.
