Hello, not sure if i have posted this question in the right place but here goes.....

My mother has been in a nursing home for nearly 18 months now and is paying nearly £600 per week partly from her pension and the rest is an 'accrued debt' on her property as she has no savings
only her property which i am being forced to sell. I have been told that she should be getting a nursing care payment of £108 per week from the PCT, paid directly to the home. Please can someone advise me.......is this amount on top of the £600 or included in the £600?

Thank you.

If I remember correctly the home will receive the £108 directly and you'll pay the remainder of £492.

Oh right, so the £108 is included in the £600? This mean I must be due a refund!
I'm not sure about refunds.
as far as i know you cant get it backdated. To ask about healthcare funding, call your local pct PALS service
ps, you wont be due a refund - if at all, your mum will

Bednobs...... I am acting on behalf of my mother so I know I wouldnt 'personally' get a refund - I am just trying to ask for advice regarding the fees/healthcare because it is all so complicated and no one at the nursing home or my local council are being very helpful!
sorry :) call PALS tomorrow
