I know that this has been discussed before but cant remember a definitive answer.
Where would a fully transgender prisoner serve his/her sentence? In a prison of their birth sex or their new sex?
Is anything stipulated in law about this.
Thanks.

Islay, you seem to have led a very sheltered life, are you genuinely upset by the use of the word 'poof'?. The words 'he' or 'she' would not have expressed the loathing and disgust that any 'transgender' is subject to in prison. As far as I am aware, Nalit and I are the only two AB members with direct experience of life inside a prison. But perhaps you know different?
I guess my 27.5 years working in high security prisons doesnt count then.

Cryptics, were you a prison officer? Or civvy staff?

CrapAtCrptics ,Thanks for that, useful information . I will include you from now when talking about AB members with experience of life 'Inside'.

Don't recall Cryptics ever mentioning this on AB EDDIE. But always good to get different perspectives on things. Get so tireless of the endless threads about jail been a Butlins etc from the Daily Mail.
And yet strangly enough no one ever volunteers for a free ''holiday'' at one of these establishments.
eddie has done work for the cons inside de slammer and so knows that he is talking about - has Islay ?

Gay men dsecribe themselves as 'poof' so I dont know what the hullabelloo is.
