I purchased goods coming from China. Had confirmation and shortly after website 5 disappeared. Couldn't get hold of them so put a claim in with PayPal. The seller then sent me a tracking no but my emails kept getting returned by postmaster. I tracked the order from China and I received a cheap ring in a box. Not the patio furniture I ordered. I was then offered less than half what I paid from the seller through PayPal which I declined. Still waiting an outcome. How can they get away with this as its clearly a scam. Has anyone else come across this
This was an add on Facebook. All printed looked genuine. Said overstocked and because of Covid they were selling off stock. Yes in hindsight the offer was a bit too good to be true.
I've seen a lot of ads like that on FaceBook, claiming to be overstocked due to Covid. Alarm bells rang for me because why would lockdown stop people buying garden furniture or anything else online?
There were ads for a wonderful looking cat cli bing tree. I was tempted but it was cheap. Checked some reviews, looked for it on Amazon. One or two reviewers said it was wonderful etc, some said they got one but it was vheap tat, some got something completely different and some nothing at all. I think the moral is be VERY careful!
There have been some really tempting adverts on Facebook. There was one for a bra that tempted me and one for a bedside cabinet with a built-in fridge for £16.
It's easy to give in on the off-chance that it is a legit deal.
I wasn't aware at the time it was coming from China as the store was Correct Store. It wasn't until I had PayPal confirmation that I had sent a payment to wuhan yinglide education Investment. I realised then
Know it's of little use to you now, but on the left hand side of eg eBay, Amazon etc pages, I always tick UK only. You paid in good faith and I would hope Paypal would reimburse you.
oh no.....there are thousands of scammers on facebook now "selling overstock" or "closing down" because of covid and they are all liars with nothing to sell. You might get help from paypal but don't hold your breath.
I went onto Correct Store website and all looked as it should ve till I saw the same add by different companies on Facebook and alarm bells rung. The all disappeared. I spoke to another girl who ordered through a different site and she received the same tatty thing from China
Woofgang. I am usually pretty good at checking these things and looking for reviews. For some reason I failed to do so this time. Put it down to boredom having been in for so long. These people are so clever. They make sure you receive something which gives them proof of sending. It's no so much about the money, I know I have been a bit daft. I hate to see them get away with it
Barry1010. That's how I feel and the fact he offered me less than half a refund has really peed me off. Why should he keep the other half and a bit when he didn't have anything to sell in the first place.
