I need to travel around 10 miles to collect something that I have bought on Gumtree. Is it OK to travel for this?

If you go to the same shop as would deliver then the same people as the delivered paper....if you go to a different shop then potentially the same number of people but different people.

As stated above, there are two considerations: is it safe, is it legal?
Plainly it’s not the latter, and if that is good enough for the OP then it’s the end of the matter.
Trying to confound safety and legality though is often problematic
Difficult times, I am extremely careful, what else can I do.
Why not? We're all going to hell in a handcart anyway. Nobody takes a blind bit of notice of lockdown rules and flaunt them at every opportunity - so go for it.
