I've just signed up with this agency and at first they asked if I could start this warehouse job I showed you a description of a few weeks ago but they want me to start sooner than 2 weeks which is notice I'm suppose to give. Just finished signing up with them. What do I do?

I think a packing job might be more suitable for abbey.

Groundhog day?

Tell them you can't as you have to give 2 weeks notice

Start sooner than 2 weeks and wait and see if your current employer begs you to come back?

Abbey, didn't you apply for the job when you saw it a few weeks ago?

I'd give the required two weeks notice, it's always good to leave an employer on civilised terms.

Question Author

Yes but it was weeks ago and obviously they haven't found anyone so don't see why I can't

Could you do the job?

The last warehouse job you had was a disaster as you failed the probation.

do whatever you want.  You will anyway

I'm confused, Abbey - you answered 'yes' to my question about applying for the job before now. Did you hear anything, get an interview?

Question Author

No I didn't it was I applied and it was an agency that called about it.

I will ask again - do you think you can do the job to a level that the employer will want to keep you on in a full time WAREHOUSE position?

Question Author

DIDL They replaced me before failing my probation so they could get an ex employee back.

Well I can see an issue straight away - reliable, hardworking?

No the rest - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.Physically fit and able to lift and move items as needed

I don't think from what you have written here that you can do this job.

So you keep saying

...or you weren't up to the job, so they failed you and rehired the ex employee.

Thanks, Abbey, though it's all still a bit a mish-mash! You shared various job specifications with AB - one job looked reasonable, I think, another one seemed... not really for you. Are you convinced that this latest warehouse job is exactly what you want? Are the hours full-time? Is it easy to get to? Will you be able to do all aspects of the work? (You've come a cropper several times over the past couple of years...)

Question Author

All I know that he is bully the manager of the company. Neva it's 9-5 and yes it easy to get to.

Thanks, Abbey - both for your reply and for the job spec you gave a little earlier (I type too slowly!) Anyway...I honestly feel that you'd struggle in that job - for example, I don't think you're best suited to a 'fast-paced environment', you've needed weeks if not months to settle in to almost any of the jobs you've had over the past few years.

Again so you say.

Every job you have had in the last 2 years you have had issues.

There is a pattern.

You will do what you want to do, do what do you want from us?

Question Author

Physically fit and able to lift items could be a downside.
