Does anyone know of a website that details the legal ramifications of privately donating sperm to a friend ? Specifically, I would like to find out if I would be legally responsible for this child in any way.

Sorry got the letters in the wrong order should be HFEA
And bear in mind that laws can and do change.

Children are getting more rights, especially in relation to paternity.

And the government are ever keener to make the father pay for his children.

If you are not comfortable with the idea, don't do it.

Thanks for your answer, but I am specifically talking about private donations here and not donations that occur in an HFEA-licenced clinic. Hence, the HFEA doesn't apply here.
