It is nearly impossible to change a birth certificate.

How old is the child, and what country are you in? The rules differ between England, Northern Ireland, Scotlad and Wales.
The circumstances under which a surname can be altered on a birth certificate are very limited:

Under certain circumstances, the forename(s) on a birth certificate can be changed within 12 months of the registration of birth, but not afterwards:

The information in those links applies to births registered in England & Wales. The rules might be different elsewhere in the UK.

thankyou for your advice.
the certificate received when you changed her name by deed poll, is a legal document, so don't worry too much about the birth certificate, as this will do.
