In reference to the payments - you are owed payments for the work you have done up until the point of dismissal. You are entitled to no notice (and thus no payment of notice) because what you did was gross misconduct.
However, before any money is paid, there will probably be an investigation into whether you have stolen anything else and thus owe them money.
On the subject of laws; you could report your boss to the police for assult. But I suspect you would be reported you for stealing . Doing so will give you a criminal record which will probably make finding a new job more difficult.
Personally, I would let it lie as you have more to lose. Getting a reference from this Company will be difficult enough as it is - don't make it any worse for yourself.
