Bail
If someone is bailed three times and the police have not made any decesion on wether to charge him or not what can he or his solictor do to speed things up. Mason was due to go in police station 6 weeks ago pending investigation ( was accused of harressing his ex- girlfriend) police could not decide so they sent him out on bail for 2 weeks - when he went went to the police staion they still could not decide they sent him out on further 4 weeks!!! its been total of 12 weeks waiting for the police. this is caused us lot of stress and anxity. we were told there is onlt one cps in the station and we are not the priorty. our lives on hold until the police decide. how bad is that??i

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Basically for him to get Police Bail (under PACE), it will have to be endorsed by the custody sergeant of that station. He or she has to be satisfied that the case is running smoothly and expediously before he even considers bail.
If there is only one CPS lawyer in the station I assume it is only a small station. However, an appointemnt between a police officer and the lawyer should only take 15 or so minutes.
Are you sure they are not waiting on anything else such as further statements, medical reports, CCTV transcripts etc?
Your solicitor will have access to the the custody record of the defendant and there will be (or SHOULD be under PACE!!!!) the full reasoning behind the re-bail.
