A co-habiting couple had been receiving pension credit and not declaring considerable assets and income- not to mentionthe fact that the younger partner gained ILR using a forged marriage certificate. After the death of the older person in receipt of the pension plus credit is the younger (illegal ILR) partner still liable to be held responsible for this fraud although not continuing to claim benefit, even though not of pensionable age? In short is the older deceased person solely responsible for the pension credit fraud,( his younger 'partner' used forged documents to gain both the ILR and NI number)
