If it's only a sea cadet corps rule that you can't be friends with instructors on facebook, and not the law, what's the most they can do to stop you?

And does it make any difference if me and the instructor (female) are only 2 years different age wise, and in the same form group and maths class in sixth form?

PLUS we've known each other since before either of us were part of the corps. . . .

or are you just going to say; rules are rules, live with it!?

They can kick you (and him) out of the cadets... and that's about it.

(has molly got a boyfriend in mind here?)
You've posted about this before already, molly. Don't forget people find out very easily about contacts on FB, if it's against sea cadets rules then don't do. There are plenty of other ways of keeping in touch without Facebook - I do.

Boxtops, we send mesages on facebook instead of using up credit/texts as we both recieve facebook messages and friend requests etc on our phones . . . . plus we were fb friends before i even joined the corps . . . .
why are you both in the same class for maths if she is two years older than you molly ?
Question Author
We will probably end up having to delete each other though . . . . I was just wondering what they could do.

Anyway technically we're not breaking that rule at the moment seeing as she isn't a proper isntructor yet (she only joined a couple of weeks ago and hasn't filled in all the paperwork yet)
what's the matter with email? that doesn't cost you anything.

Anne, long story short is; she got a C in as maths and last year her doctors changed ehr tablets a couple of weeks before ehr A2 exams so she fudged them up (except ict which was mainly coursework) so, to try and get as good a grade as possible, she's resitting AS and A2 maths and A2 physics . . .
is she any good with guns molly ?
Is this an actual written rule you have seen?
Wall - head - bang

We (well i don't, i'm not sure about her) don't get emails on our phones, so sending a message on facebook on our phones is the cheapest way.

BTW we were given instructors mobile numbers and lots of cadets and isntructors text each other, which is allowed.
got any red red?

what tablets did the doctor change molly, ie for your friend that affected her exam results ?

Prudie, we were always told we shouldn't be friends with instructors, but they're cracking down on it now, and the instructors have removed cadets from their profiles (my friend wasn't there when they said about this, and might not have been aware of this rule until I just messaged her . . .)

But wouldn't this rule mean that anyone who is 17 and has loads of cadets as friends on facebook who might have known them since they were at least 10, would have to delete them all if they stayed on as an instructor?
