I am in the next few weeks i am putting my 30 days notice into my landlord as myself and partner are moving elsewhere.. Does anyone have a link to any templates to make the letter more official looking?

Don't worry at all about official looking, just check your rental agreement to be sure that you are doing everything right and write "dear xxx, in accordance with our rental agreement, I write to inform you that we will be leaving (address) on (date) Please therefore accept this letter as formal 30 day notice."

If its appropriate you could put in something nice about how happy you have been in the house/flat etcet.

this is not relevant to your qestion but...please make sure when you leave you take DATED pictures of the house -cleanliness,state of carpets, etc because however 'nice' your landlord is and however much you think your deposit is secure with the DPS landlords have a habit of trying to refurb houses using deposit money. We left our last place picture perfect and are now in dispute with |D|PS as landlord says we caused 500 pounds worth of damge to carpets -luckily we have photos and hopefully will get our deposit back, but its taken 3 months so far and we've only had 120 pounds released by the DPS so far.
