When I worked in insurance (and I think it's still the same now) the limit of liability period was three years after the accident, or three years from when you became aware of problems arising from an accident. You don't need a lawyer to make a liability claim (but obviously it helps if it's a complex case) - any initial claim would be against the person or...

I think it's 3 years.

You don't need a lawyer to make a liability claim (but obviously it helps if it's a complex case) - any initial claim would be against the person or organisation you considered to have caused the accident through negligence.

The above answers assumes that you are referring to a claim for injury ( General damages )

For property claims - for example - repairs to a vehicle ( special damages ) - the time limit is 6 years

thank you all for answers, accident happened in october so still plenty of time to claim.
What happened? Is it a straight forward case...as in 100% not your fault?
