Did anyone see photos of Dawn French today?

Did anyone see the photos of Dawn French today in the newspaper? I didn't recognise her, she has lost loads of weight but in the photos shown today I actually think they made her look so much older, don't know if it was the way the photos were taken. I think Dawn is great but wonder if she actually looked better when she was a 'fuller' lady. I covered the news article and just showed a few people the photo asking if they recognised who it was, someone actually said the woman from the 'Krankies' before I revealed it was Dawn. Everyone was as gobsmacked as I was! The photos today did not do her any justice. Do you think she looks better now or as she was?

I think she looks much better now................however she went on a diet due to health problems, not for vanity.

she gave an interview saying she really missed her old body, but it had to be done.

Didn't realise she had to lose weight due to health problems. As she'd always claimed to be happy as she was so I was surprised. I hope she is happy as she is and please don't get me wrong, I think she is great and good luck to her with her new relationship. Just couldn't get over how different she looked and older. It was probably just the photo in the paper today (it was the only one I'd seen of her since her weight lost, unfortunately haven't seen any interviews of her recently).

I can well believe it. Remember when Nigel Lawson (now better known as father of Nigella) also lost lots of weight - he ended up with wrinkles too. The skin just hasn't got the same amount of fat to contain, and it's lost a lot of elasticity.

If the outer skin replaces itself every few weeks why does it replace it with old looking skin ?

she does have more wrinkles due to the weight loss, but she looks happy, and should be feeling more healthy too!.....

Its just a bad pic on a windy day on a beach - we would all look a tad rough!!
