Yeah -- six appearances in the end -- I was in the bottom-right seat all the time, for King's Cambridge.
Years ago Manchester (I think) just messed about giving silly answers to every question. Ended up with 0 points & a ticking off from Bamber.
well my mater has won it - but not in my time! We were too pissed.
Ha-ha DTC.

Wasn't that the year when David Aaronovitch was at Manchester? The silly answers were a selection from "Lenin", "Trotsky" and other communists...
the 'up-skirt' one was early on. It was when having two teams with one above the other was technically at the edge, though in reality they were on the same level.

It was Girton's all female team who took the 'upper'position so to speak and I think it was Manchester (surprise!) who simulated looking upwards during the whole programme........hilarious.
the booze one was shown in the history of UC - gness's boyfriend, Mr Fry, admitted that the "Green Room" back then was some pub down the road and there is wonderful footage of one of his fellow team mates collapsing forward onto the 'bench' absolutely blotto from the effects of some Kentish best.....
one for gness though:

Thanks, DT...never have enough of him. x
But he's gay !. ^^^^^^
Gay!! Since when??? x
I still don't get how Bamber allowed him so much time there... who does he think he is?!
Stephen Fry, jim, Stephen Fry....who gness is waiting to convert away from the excesses of m-to-m sex (she must have a hell of a harness ready for him - a Black&Decker me thinks).
It'll be the shed for him, me thinks DT !.
I'm a Guinness drinking, Irish redhead, DT! No harness needed. ;-)

I've looked you up Jim - a fine physicist amongst all those classicists!
So errrm anyway, what do you see in Stephen Fry gness (in that way I mean) :-)
He went to Queens, say no more..........
Prudie...I have to confess, I love clever men......x
