Waitrose. It's the closest at 6 miles, but also my top choice. Staff are excellent, there's always a good range of quality stuff with the ordinary. It does have an unfortunate image; not many supermarkets have champagne at £250 a bottle, or Havana cigars sold just like fags; but it is not dearer than others on mid-range goods
Tesco online, we only have tesco here.
Morrison, they have a deal at the moment...spend £35 for three weeks and get £10 of your next week. Too good to miss, and they have less choice which makes it less expensive for me. I am a browser and always end up buying stuff I didn't go in for!
I have recently started on-line shopping with tesco, I do it via 'my supermarket.com and it compares prices as you go, and offers alternatives to help you save money, also I find it better as in the store you are more inclined to buy stuff you don,t really need, and the £3.00 delivery charge is what I would spend in petrol to get to my nearest tesco store.
DelHaize.
Aldi. Quick shopping. Who needs 20 different types of baked beans? And very good prices
co-op, walking distance. No car.
