James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Actually went out for a little drive today, which OH normally doesn't feel up to, so maybe we are getting a bit better. But mostly I have sat here doing sudokus and colouring in mandalas in sis's colouring book. I've hardly gone over any lines at all. Still not quite the summer holiday I envisaged, though.

Dreary weather ,rain and more rain. Supposed to brighten up from tomorrow though but much colder again.
Nothing doing here. Had hair cut yesterday then cab to Morrisons to meet Mr S for big brekkie and a few bits of shopping. The man behind the fish counter refused to make me a five quid fish pie although there was plenty of fish to cut up so I complained to the manager. I don't normally do things like that but I wasn't in the mood for stroppy fish counter assistants.I got my pie and he got one of my withering looks!

Nice sunny day here but chilly. I do miss my 2nd freezer. Nowhere to put anything!

They make it for you Neti. They put the fish and sauce in a foil tray and pipe the potato on . I just have to put some grated cheese on top and cook it. Very tasty with plenty of fish and enough for two of us .
They also make a cottage pie on the meat counter.

I wish they would make fish pies here. Takes so long, cooking the fish, making the sauce, doing the potato. I dont do it that often!

Very sad to hear of mikey's death, one of the really cheery and courteous ABers, not that there's a whole lot of competition, present company excepted.

Yes ,very sad Jno .He'll be missed.He always stuck to his guns and principles and his political beliefs in spite of some of the abuse he got. I hope a few of 'em are examining their consciences tonight.I had some nice chats with him about books from time to time as he was an avid reader.

Terrible storms here but I still went out for my constitutional coffee with my gbf. Got rather wet coming home but nice and dry and warm in house. Satellite tv keeps pixellating.

Oh has finally seen a doctor who slashed the amount of omaprazole to be taken - we did wonder if it might be making the problem worse rather than curing it. So we'll just have to see for a few days . Meantime the last mouthful of bile OH has brought up had a wisp of blood in it, which isn't very cheering.

That's my fond hope. OH is looking exhausted and emaciated (which autocomplete thinks is the same as adjusted and emancipated) so I am praying for a quick turnaround.

Oh dear jno, are you back now from foreign climes? Poor OH, not much fun is it? I was meant to go for medical revision in January, but cba. Ill get round to it one day.
