James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Nice weather today but I feel tired. My foot hurts when I walk. In Dubai I strapped the toes together to ease the pain. Suppose I should tell the Mexico although mine has gone to Palma to work so we have locums who don't do much!
Hope OH is ok jno.

OH has beenr eattached to the feeding tube, though by the sound of it they got the janitor in to do it - didn't quite know what he was up to, lots of discussion and eventually OH had to demand more sedation as the last lot was wearing off.
Current plan seems to be that OH will be instructed how to operate the mobile stand and the jars of liquid food and then sent home with them for the next couple of weeks so as to regain weight ready for an op. What could possibly go wrong??

you're not the only one, neti. I think the plan is still for OH to come home on Friday and spend a couple of weeks bulking up before returning for an op to sort out the duodenal issues. But I could be wrong. Nothing much has gone as predicted recently.
Sweltering 24 degrees or so today, supposed to get up to 27 tomorrow. I must get out my rhinestone bikini.

Hello all
It's not sweltering here at the front because of the nippy sea breeze but it is out the back, in the garden where it's sheltered and I've sat and turned my face to the sun .Lovely.
Well done Neti for being brave at the dentist.Have a gold star.
I would be at the end of my tether by now Jno .I hope your OH can soon come home.It must be so wearying for you both .KBO.
Hope you're all ok .

OH is looking cheerier. Woofgang, I inquired about the delay in reconnecting the food supply, and this was apparently because the guy who did the gastroscopy to replace the tube was such a blithering incompetent (a 15-minute job took an hour, so OH had to demand more sedative) the hospital decided they'd better do an Xray first, to make sure he'd actually put it in the right place. (He had, thank goodness.)
Just when you don't need a surgeon on work experience... The rest of the team were very apologetic afterwards.
