No...and I also hated being pregnant but then I did have problems throughout.
No.
2 emergency c/sections. very long unproductive painful labours, eh no:)
As much as I love my dad I wouldn't have my dad there. I'd have my mum though
Sad so many bad experiences, induction first time, slow slow - 5 weeks early second but still suppose it is different for all.
My Mother wouldn't have attended, she liked to be star of the show, bless her.
My labours were quite quick. I went into shock after the last labour.
Mum said my dad was there when I was born and he watched the wall the whole time. I wasn't in a rush to appear either...sorry mum
I don't think that many Dads would feel comfortable seeing their daughter give birth. I never even walked about in my underwear at home in front of my Dad lol lol.
Had boy #2 in an under an hour and had girl at home, still with one leg in my trousers (bit of a shock). Had to have a c-section with the things, wasn't best impressed.
No I didn't want anyone with me. Neither of my parents would have wanted to be there anyway as much as they loved me. TBH I think I would have been embarrassed that my dad knew what I'd been up to even though I was married.
I've just watched it. Felt very uncomfortable with her father being there. I ended up shouting at the tv when he went down the action area.
I wouldn't have had anyone else there than baby's dad.
Disturbing to the n'th degree. IMHO.
Definitely not. I didn't even allow my mother to be in the room. As grasscarp said, (page 1) professionals only.
I teased my husband by telling him he was there for the conception the least he could do was to be there at delivery! He'd have preferred to have been anywhere but there, but I told him I wanted someone I trusted and who would be on my side in the room, and he didn't have to get involved at the "business" end, I simply wanted his presence as he could help me stay calm etc. I'd never allowed my mum in there with me, let alone my dad, he'd have been mortified
It's ok Queenie hardly felt a thing, though I've endured some twenty odd years of pain since!!!!! ;-}
I can't understand why women want their Mother there at all either, in retrospect, I think I would have preferred no-one there. I never trusted my Dad medically since he tricked me when I was 8, he yanked a plaster off my leg when I'd spent an hour in the cooling bayh taking it off little by little!

Caran, see my post @22:11 on previous page, perhaps he was there!
But she chose to have her dad there over her mother Baldric, so I'm not sure what you mean.

OK, no bad joke intended, OH had more than one delivery where Dad and Granddad were one and the same, hence 'Care Issues'
It happens!
Ok Baldrick, that's ok. Very creepy when I think about it.
