Just finished watching the second part of this drama. Wasn't sure about it last week, but totally hooked tonight. Philip Glenister is great. Not the stereotypical eye candy but he does it for me!
It was better tonight but it seemed almost like two separate dramas, I couldn't really connect last week with this - but that maybe because I only had one eye on it.
Really funny ending tonight. The old boy flying off the treadmill was hilarious, and we all knew what was coming next......and it did!
Looking forward to Part 3. :-)
The fears i expressed last week regarding the IRA being responsible for the bomb in the club were, unfortunately, well founded and we are expected to believe that any insurance firm would pay up without questioning the authenticity of such a claim. And then, half way through, the whole thing turned into a comedy-drama. What next in the final episode, a Brian Rix type farce?
I thought that brother Robbo's intention to blow up his club was because he was in debt to loan sharks. I can understand his insurance company paying to rebuild the club but who paid off the loan sharks.
I love Philip Glenister. He was brilliant in Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes .
This is very good too ,he has some great dialogue, very droll ...I keep waiting for him to say ....Nearly dinner time. I'm 'aving hoops :)
