Programme Plug

Hope you don't mind if I plug a programme coming up next week. My son works with Young Carers Scotland and was involved in the filming of this documentary. He said that JLS were just wonderful with the young people (plus grandaughter had her photo taken with Orits).
Britain's Youngest Carers
Channel 4 at 11:00pm – Wed 9th July 2014
This documentary follows the lives of four of Britain's youngest carers - six-year-old Ty-Reece, sisters Clare and Erin, who are 16 and 14, and Josh, who's 13 - to understand the challenges that they face in caring for their parents.
Orits' Williams, founding member of the boyband JLS, has cared for his mother since he was 12 and has experienced first-hand the immense pressure and the toll it takes on a young person. Orits' wants to raise awareness of this hidden army of hundreds of thousands of young people who care for family members, some of whom have serious ailments and conditions, from physical and mental disabilities to terminal illness.
The programme also chronicles how young carers balance and juggle day-to-day physical and emotional demands with the pressures of gaining qualifications and getting an education, as well as their social lives and their hopes and dreams for the future.
