Enjoying Re Runs

For the last 10 days I have been Enjoying reruns of north and south the acting is dire but enjoying it anyway

All summer I've been watching re-runs of Dynasty as I never saw it first time round. Ridiculous story lines but it grabs you and the over-the-top fashion is fabulous.

I think there is a new version of North and South in the pipeline, but I bet it's not a patch on the old one. I rarely watch the modern versions of the classics, but love watching the old ones on DVD or rerun.

I love that. Watched the DVD’s again last year, although didn’t bother with series 3 this time, because it’s rubbish.

Yes Bazile, it's just the old shows, currently series 6 on at 10pm every weekday on CBS Drama - Blake Carrington, Krystle and Joan Collins as Alexis are in them all.

Although, I must admit some things do look a bit wooden as they get older.

North And South is one of my favourites.
Handsome men, beautiful women wearing lovely dresses and intricate hair do’s.
Fantastic old houses and a couple of great baddies.
And, oh, those accents.
Wonderful.
I've even got the theme music on my iPod.

Did you know that the guy who played him in series 1 was married to Kirstie Alley, who played Virgillia Hazard?

Anyway, whatever channel you are watching it on, if they show series 3, I would say don't bother.
It's a load of disjointed cobblers!

The intended joke was - why wouldn't he be in the re-runs ?

Like it too much to be bothered by the acting, and like I say, I wouldn’t have noticed back in 1985.
I did like the way Afton could turn from being all nice and southern belle-ish, to a cruel vicious cow, in the blink of an eye. I also liked the megalomaniacal Elkanah Bent.
And the woman who played Constance was beautiful, although admittedly, her Irish accent was a bit dodgy!
