I think that Gerard Butler would be good, but apparently he's said no. I think the actor from McMafia (who's name escapes me!) would suit the part. Or maybe just give Bond a rest after Bond 25? But please don't create a 'Ms' Bond - I feel that Dr Who has been ruined by making the character female and so politically correct!

Richard Madden makes sense.

A lot of the others would be put of the picture because they’d be too old. And one mentioned earlierwould be unacceptable to the Bond producers because he’s gay in real life.

I mean - look at the furore there was over Daniel Craig being blonde!

I agree Richard Madden would be a good call. Personally I love Idris Elba and Tom Hardy but not in the Bond role, maybe because I don't like James Bond though x

Okay, cards on the table, Idris Elba peaked (excelled) as Stringer Bell. Everything since is just filling the pension pot.

Problem is - with Daniel Craig set to do another movie, which won’t be out until 2020, Elba is was too old for the role.

Tom Hardy is too established to take over the role. Too famous in his own right.

I think it needs to be someone in his 30s.

If Madden doesn’t do it, then perhaps Aiden Turner from Poldark - or even better, a complete unknown who has no ‘baggage’.

I'd vote Tom Hiddleston personally if he ever gets over being the dumped but still besotted Mr Taylor Swift in the public perception, poor guy :(
