I did manage to watch it until the end but it's another one of those (imo) complicated dramas with flashbacks that make my brain ache! I might watch the next part which is in tonight, to see if it is making more sense to me.
I'll also give it another go tonight. Agree, I hate flashback things, it's complicated to follow. I think there's an element of the old ghost story 'watcher in the woods' going to develop.
Drama series do seem to be getting more complicated (or my mind is getting feebler). I don't start watching until I've recorded the whole series as I find it much easier to follow if I watch the whole thing over a couple of nights.
I was quite confused to begin with - who was the man at the beginning in prison? Was he the same man who put the lid back on the bottle?
It's got 8 episodes I think so must be a lot more to it.
I also struggled at first, but stayed with it and will watch tonight's episode to see if I will watch the rest. The book got a lot of awards, so maybe a better read.
I really quite enjoyed the opening episode. Plenty of things to get our grey matter working (overtime, even) second-guessing almost every character. Neat little twist at the end even if it wasn't too unexpected.
We really enjoyed it, totally enthralled and looking forward to tonight’s episode.
Is it on every night or just two episodes per week, and how many episodes altogether?
Tonight's episode moved the story on apace while managing to create even more intrigue. The dead girl's family are all a bit weird and unless we're being fed red herrings by the shoal, one of them will have some sort of involvement in the young ballerina's death. And we will no doubt be drip fed the gradual return of Adam's memories of exactly what happened in the woods all those years ago. Looking forward to next week's two episodes.
If anybody would like to write up a precis of what's gone on so far I'd be really grateful. Have watched both episodes but only 90% attention. What is the relevance of the trampy guy and the aggressive guy he spoke to in the first episode? The girl Jamie - is she one of the missing children? (maybe it was 75%). I did learn about the Irish folklore 'fetch' and have looked that up. To confirm it's 8 episodes, 9pm Mondays and Tuesdays I gather.
