I think, as Chris Tarrant used to say "they are easy if you know the answer". What is easy to one person, isn't to another and vice versa.
Yeah, he had some deep wisdom, that Chris Tarrant!
Impacted, apparently.

well they were all at least as well known as the actual answer. Alamo is Davy Crocket/Jim Bowie so not that. OK Corral is Wyatt Earp and co v the Clantons so not that and Gettysburg is the location of a famous Lincoln speech in the US Civil war so not that. All common knowledge. So that leaves LBH, obvious

Strange reasoning.
If you don't know about Custer then there is a good chance you know nothing about the rest.

Hang on...

Gettysburg is the location of a famous Lincoln speech in the US Civil war so not that

?
gawd help us, neither Barnes nor Jezza and 62% if the audience didn't know 4 of a kind beats a full house! another obvious one!
roy 22:08 what's your point?
Simple really

Little Bighorn
The Alamo
OK Corral
Gettysburg

I don't think they put Gettysburg in the 4 because of a speech, do you?

TTT - not everyone knows how to play poker, nor cares. So why should they be familiar with the terminology?
battle/speech doesn't matter it's related to the Civil war so can't be the answer.
TTT... can you give, without googling, 2 types of martingales, 3 types of bit and a rug that goes under a New Zealand?
The battle during the American Civil War?
diddly, you don't really need to know poker much, just be familiar with a pack of cards and probability. Structure of the question means that you just need to know the highest out of the four choices.
nope, but not really comparable pixie.
It is... they are the easiest questions I can think of....
TTT, if you don't know what a Full House means, is it likely any of the other terms would be familiar?
If the any of the first few questions were about recent soap characters, I'd not have a clue.
4 of a kind/ 2 pair - exactly what it says on the tin
straight - pretty obvious
Flush - in the unlikely event that you don't know what that is it's obvious that 4 of a kind out of a pack of cards is very hard to get. You don't need to know what a full house is.
What about Matey, TCL?
