I mean they only seem to have three subjects that they seem to find amusing, Trump, Boris and brexit. What are they going to do now, these right on comedians that infest the BBC and Channel 4? Perhaps they should try and broaden their appeal outside their London centric narrow virtue signalling view point and start actually making the rest of the country laugh.

maybe, but quite frankly many of our comedians were never funny to begin with.
We have a few on here that have pretty much the same subjects.
and they ain't remotely funny.
Have you heard this one ? Trump, Boris, and Brexit, walk into a bar ...
name me one good comedian who inhabits the BBC.
I don't know about that but they reckon cable news networks in the US are done for
I can't get away with today's comedians , I don't find what they say as being funny, I used to enjoy and laugh at Peter Kay but he's dropped from radar now , the other one I liked is
John Bishop , I love the accent :0)
Do you write letters to Viz btw?

Just wondering :-)
i don't like Peter Kay, perhaps it's a Northern thing, but never found him funny at all, John Bishop has his moments, but again they are far and few between
who Ick..
Just A Minute often has me laughing out loud, Zoe Lyons is hilarious on QI, Diane Morgan tickled my funny bone as Mandy, Bill Bailey. I never liked Jimmy Carr but he is growing on me
Bill Bailey i can take or leave and don't watch Q1 anymore. Jimmy Carr is dire as is Alan Carr.
I like Dave Gorman, too - his shows are usually on Dave, which is owned by the Beeb. The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan also had me laughing, very cheery series.
nope don't like either. Romesh is a numpty.
Perhaps the problem with comedians lies with the viewer rather than the performer.

Some folk are quite literally never happy.
Just drifting off the point slightly but the modern trend is for comedy to be a kind of narrative, rather than just telling jokes, eg like Jimmy Tarbuck. Some of the jokes would be topical, so I'm sure the JB kind of comedian would have done well with Trump and others. Maybe some still do.

Sorry, I meant Dave :-)

Peter Kay I love btw: his face alone can set me off: and that is not meant to be an insult
emmie, did you watch any of the Misadventures series, a travelogue?
and some comedians just aint funny.
I still laugh at Billy Connolly, and Dave Allen, but one is dead and the other not far off.
