Just in case anyone was worried, got back from Scotland this afternoon, and I must say the best holiday I've ever had. The Scots have a great sense of humor and can't do enough for you if you ask. Scenery/ locations are breathtaking, weather has been out of this world, couldn't have had better. I'm stuffed to the eyeballs with the best of Scotland's beef, strawberries and salmon. Can't wait to go back.
I wasnt worried, but I am quite jealous. Some of my best holidays have been in Scotland. Stunning place, lovely people, beautiful food. It's lovely even in the rain, but if the weather is good it is absolutely unbeatable.
Thanks^^ Now off to bed I'm shattered. when I pulled up on the drive this afternoon my buddies next door took the knee, who said you can't come back with a tan form Scotland. :0)
My late,ex in-laws lived in Scotland for 10-12 years. I really missed our excursions up there when they moved back down South. Stunning and welcoming country.
Welcome back to a/b Teacake , glad you enjoyed your holiday.
I also like Scotland and the wonderfull people who live there .
Always been made very welcome in Scotland.
So glad you enjoyed your holiday in my beautiful country. Your post says it all. Went to Fort William for a few days with my daughter and we had glorious weather (too hot at times). Glenfinnan viaduct, Neptune's Staircase and a sail on Loch Linnhe - what more could you ask for? We welcome one and all.
Very nice Maggie, who needs a crowded beach, went to many places but not even scratched the surface yet. Daughters will now have my motor home for most of August, so hoping for some more nice weather in September for another visit.
Done and dusted when I first got it gull, very expensive but well worth it for the freedom to go anywhere for all of us at anytime. Better than being ripped off by Hotel prices, and they are only going to go higher, and what for a plastic polluted beach in many cases, with number 2 flouting about. :0)))
