What a fix.Jim Moir was told by Clarkson it was probably Chromium he phoned his son in law who said he thought silver.Then having agreed Moir would take £32,000 Clarkson talked Moir into going for Silver.What a con.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Your missing the point Mozz.Jim Moir was asked what metal was added to Steel at 10% to create Stainless Steel.He asked JC who wasn’t 100% sure but thought it was Chromium they then rang is Son in Law who was a bit vague but thought from the options it was Silver.They rang another man who didn’t know at all.There then followed a time consuming conversation,presumably rehearsed,where Clarkson talks about Moir having to live with the fact if his Son in Law was correct.So incredibly Moir then changes his mind and moves from Chromium to Silver.He had reached a guaranteed £32,000 but I believe his charity was “robbed” of £32,000 by this nonsense.
GRUMPY, if it was fixed, why did Clarkson not give him the wrong answer straight away?
If it was fixed, what would have happened if the son-in-law had been 100% certain the answer was chromium or was he also part of the conspiracy?
